Introduction

In April 2005 RITSEC (www.ritsec.org.eg) launched a series of 4-week workshops training and educating young high potentials and future leaders in various ministries of the Egyptian government in the Knowledge InnovationTM methodology by Debra M. Amidon (www.entovation.com). Framework details for the ENTOVATION methodology (i..e, the ten dimensions of innovation strategy) - http://www.entovation.com/services/tensteps.htm. Each cohort consists of approximately 15 individuals. The workshops were delivered face-to-face in Cairo and online by Oliver Schwabe (www.euro-focus.com). Each group will then join a growing community of practice focused on creating a leading knowledge innovation zone (www.inthekzone.com) in and for the Nation of Egypt. During the course of the workshop each participant applied the methodology within a personal project and also worked in a group to create a group project. The results of the first workshop can be viewed below. The results of the following groups will also be made available here. In a next phase business plans will be created for these project. In parallel sponsors are being actively solicited to support the projects as they then move to a prototyping phase.
